International Gallerie is a bi-annual arts and ideas magazine founded in 1997 in India, by its editor, designer and publisher Bina Sarkar Ellias. Gallerie's mission is to foster knowledge and understanding of diverse communities and their socio-political/cultural issues as interpreted through excellence in the arts and the written word. Bina's work places a lens on art, cultural history, climate, and social commentary with great depth in a way unlike other publications currently available.
About Pen + Brush
We recognize that gender-based inequality in the arts has a much larger historic societal context. But we also recognize that by concentrating our resources within our sphere of influence, Pen and Brush has the greatest chance of effecting real change for women in the arts. We at Pen and Brush strongly support the premise that art and literature are vital aspects of the human experience. We also believe that art and literature created by women deserves to be recognized and valued on its merit.
