Julia Curtis-Burnes
Initiative Space, Founder
Julia received a Master’s Degree in Teaching from Brown University and graduated from Wellesley College with a Bachelor of Arts in Peace and Justice Studies and a minor in History. An Educator, Julia was a history teacher and advisor in both high school and middle school college preparatory institutions in the New York City Department of Education and an Adjunct Instructor at New York University.
Julia is passionate about women’s empowerment, the LGBTQI community, education and leadership. Julia’s goal is to develop programs that help teach, encourage, mentor, and prepare women to become strong leaders who take initiative, excel, and break barriers in the face of inequality.
