You’re invited to join the dialogue, support the cause and stand with us as we unite to observe Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Since 1981, the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV) has recognized October as a time that we rededicate ourselves to breaking the cycle. Successively, in 1994 the Violence Against Women Act passed which combined new provisions, programs and services for victims. And now, in 2015, it is time that our community continues not only to speak up, but to take a stand against domestic violence.
Attached, you will find a flyer with details about the event scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Miami Dade College, North Campus.
