According to the American Heart Association, each year in the U.S., there are about 400,000 cardiac arrests unrelated to physical injuries. Additionally, The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation says about 9 out of 10 people with this kind of attack will die…and out of that number, Black Men suffer at an incredibly disproportionate rate.
These are jarring statistics.

10 years ago, Harlem native Andrew Delesline, died suddenly of Cardiac Pulmonary Disorder at only 21 years of age, shaking up his brothers, large family and close-knit community who loved him dearly. And while Andrew’s untimely passing was never forgotten, it’s cause has very rarely been discussed, leaving the door open for many of his peers to fall victim to the same unfortunate tragedy. Until now…

Enter, Drew Day.

A Day Party originally rooted in celebrating Andrew's life and legacy, this soiree now has a bigger mission; gather donations that will help Harlem Hospital raise and spread awareness of Cardiac Pulmonary Disorder and encourage the greater Harlem community to proactively visit the doctor take better care of themselves.

Come drink, dance and Party for a Purpose that anyone can get behind!
