This "Valentines Day" weekend, mogulPRO Consulting + TheBlackManCan will launch #FallingBlackinLove Weekend with the POWER COUPLE BRUNCH from 1-4PM EST:

at MIST in Harlem, NY on Saturday February 13 


The purpose of FALLING BLACK IN LOVE and the POWER COUPLE BRUNCH is to celebrate and elevate diverse narratives about Black love, Black life and Black families. 

The event will include brunch, live performances (poets, singers, and more), networking, gift give-aways, and a rich panel discussion with extraordinary people who are balancing love, marriage, work, and everything in between! 

Moderators Glenda Smiley (mogulPRO) and Brandon Frame (theBLACKMANcan)will facilitate a lively discussion with couples who've managed loving and lasting partnerships and who'll offer the audience different perspectives on how to maintain a successful professional, family and love life. The discussions will not only be an inside look into the success of power couples, but it will also empower attendees to consider winning practices in their work life and love life. 


All proceeds from this event will benefit our media project "THE FALLING BLACK IN LOVE" docu-series. A TV + Digital media program that will highlight diverse living illustrations of Black loves -- real couples and real stories! Thank you in advance.

All moguls in their own right, this year's power couples will join us to share their career + relationship journey.  



A firm believer in balance being the key to success the Bennetts work together to assure that they are both leading the pact in their respective songwriting and entertainment careers, while also keeping love and family life on top! Kel's singing and songwriting has garnered him nominations for the Grammy Awards, Soul Train Music Awards, and MTV Video Music Awards, won him an American Music Award, and lead him to be included in a class of dynamic BET Music Matters artists like Elle Varner and Luke James. Quana Bennett is a singer and songwriter from Brooklyn. Best known for having been a member of Tha’ Rayne on Arist Records, Quana has worked with the likes of Dre and Vidal, Queen Latifah, P. Diddy, The Clutch, Jaheim, and Teddy Riley.

Tiffany and KojoDufu starting dating when they were undergraduate students at the University of Washington in Seattle and will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary next year. Tiffany Dufu is Chief Leadership Officer to Levo, the fastest growing network for millennial women professionals. She is also Launch Team member to Lean In and is former President of the White House Project. KojoDufu received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington. After serving on the engineering team that built the wireless telecommunications network for Qwest, Kojo earned an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Business and transitioned to investment banking at HSBC. Pivoting to private equity, Kojo subsequently served as Africa Team Lead at Alcazar Capital in Dubai and Director & Lead Africa Partner at Warrington Inc. He is currently manages investor relations in the U.S. for Atlas Mara, a company redefining banking in Africa.

Gabby Cudjoe Wilkes and Andrew Wilkes are a New York City couple who fell in love at their alma mater, Hampton University, 10 years ago. The couple got married in Manhattan in 2010, and have since enjoyed the joys of career, travel, & love together. Andrew is the Executive Director of The Drum Major Institute, an organization founded by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Andrew is also an ordained minister, public speaker and a writer for outlets such as The Guardian & The Huffington Post. Gabby is an entertainment publicist & event planner, who has worked with Mary Mary, BET, Matthew Knowles, Sony Music, and others. Andrew is an alum of Princeton Theological Seminary and Gabby is an alum of New York University. Gabby is a current student at Yale University Divinity School. The couple serves together on staff as Young Adult Pastors at The Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York, where Andrew also serves as the Director of Social Justice. They reside in Harlem, NY.

Tiffany and Amos Winbush started dating 13 years ago when they were in college and will celebrate 9 years of marriage in March of 2016! Both bosses in their respective fields, the Winbushes find a shared interest in building thriving communities through their expertise in communications (Tiffany) and technology (Amos). Tiffany is incredibly passionate about community management, public relations, social media and digital marketing. As a noted entrepreneur Amos previously founded CyberSynchs the world’s leading universal data transfer and Synchronization Company. At 32, Amos is one of the youngest and brightest CEO’s in the tech industry. Amos views today’s world of technology as an ecosystem supporting innovation and valuing disruptors around the world focusing on providing access to opportunity for underserved communities. Understanding and devoted to providing technical tools and education in both rural and urban areas, Amos donates resources and technology to schools nationwide.
