Learn how you can use academic, government, and other grants to fund your games and create a successful appeal for funding.
Grant funding has become more prevalent for game developers, especially indie developers, in recent years. There are thousands of grant programs out there that game developers may qualify for from government agencies, schools, private foundations, and other organizations. Because games can fall under technological achievements, business, the arts, and academia there are unprecedented opportunities for indie developers to receive grants for socially conscious and educational games. Developers who make serious games will be particularly interested in how to secure grant funding and make a strong appeal to get their work funded.
