The Grantmakers for Girls of Color Convening Planning Committee, supported by the NoVo Foundation, will host a national convening of funders to begin an exploration of the challenges facing girls and young women of color and to create a plan to drive long-term systemic change.

Through a series of panel discussions and break out sessions, this first convening will explore the power and unique challenges facing black young women and girls across the United States.

It is designed as a first step toward a new dialogue and movement among funders to chart what’s needed, create opportunities for collaboration, and articulate a shared vision to shift the philanthropic sector.

You can learn about the Grantmakers for Girls of Color effort and this convening on their website. Please RSVP if you are planning to attend by clicking on the "register" button.  Contact us to be added to the wait list:

Please note: While we are deeply grateful to all who are interested, attendance at this first national convening is limited to funders and funder affinity groups only. We will share information about future events as soon as it is available.
