THE CONVERSATION

This conversation will focus on how each of these women learned how to continue to slay, and succeed despite personal trauma and drama. We’ll focus on how to build resilience as you learn to live within different realities while growing your career.

Real-time Resilience is defined as “an internal skill to shut down counterproductive thinking and build motivation and focus on the task at hand. RTR is used when thoughts are distracting you from an immediate goal or task.” Meanwhile, within psychology compartmentalization is defined as a defense mechanism, or a coping strategy. It’s essentially how we’re able to deal with conflicting internal standpoints simultaneously.

Sometimes everything in our careers can be going at high-speed in the right direction while our personal lives derail and fall off a cliff. From family drama, to relationship up and downs, to dealing with death, life gets real. We also sometimes may be super sensitive and nurturing at home and more hardened and tough in our workplace.  We’ll chat about how to successfully navigate these dual and sometimes conflicting realities. We’ll also explore the importance of coping and healing and examine the point where compartmentalizing may no longer be healthy.
