The HERImpact Miami Pitch Competition is scheduled to take place virtually on April 16.
HI – HERImpact is designed to help female social entrepreneurs scale their enterprises in order to increase their impact and long term sustainability. The program was initiated in the fall of 2018. The Initiative is comprised of an Entrepreneurship Summit, which is designed to build community and increase the capacity of female social entrepreneurs through advice from experts, online tools and networking. The Initiative also includes a Pitch Competition, designed to invest in early and growth-stage companies in the region.
Statistics show that female entrepreneurs receive less than 1% of venture capital in this country and are more likely to be declined for a loan. The HI – HERImpact Pitch Competition is designed to provide much-needed capital and coaching to female social entrepreneurs in the region. Finalists receive pitch coaching and media exposure. Cash prizes up to $50,000 and in-kind support in excess of $100,000 are provided up to three winners representing emerging and growth social enterprises.
