This inspiring panel event series by General Assembly invites key players in New York City’s design community to offer a rare insider’s look at how they work and create. From branding to user experience to city planning, panelists will discuss how they approach projects from a design point of view, how design thinking methods help with problem-solving, and much more. Plus, they’ll cover opportunities within the field and their vision for the future of the industry.

This Month: GA and Squarespace have brought together veteran designers who will be sharing how they approached their personal brand, portfolio presentation and what it took to start building a digital community. Now more importantly than ever, it is vital for designers to differentiate themselves and allow their personal voice to come life online.

What You’ll Take Away: Gain practical tips and insight from expert designers on how they’re solving problems through design, and get inspired to take your creativity to the next level.

Why It Matters: You’ve got the design thing down. But the truth is, being successful in the world of graphic design is about more than being an awesome designer. If you want to break through the clutter and build a business, you need to do a lot more than create a portfolio—you need to brand yourself as a designer.
