Check out a video of their work here: http://www.thefuturedc.org/
Enjoy Italian Fare, Specialty Cocktails AND AN AMAZING SHOW! Each artist will be using their gift to express a different principle of Kwanzaa. In partnership with Piola, The Future Foundation will receive 20% of the proceeds from the evening. So the more people who eat, the more change we can make!
These funds will be going directly towards the "Work DC! Certification Collaborative". This program is designed to partner The Future Foundation's youth and young adults with small business owners throughout the community. They are given the opportunity to earn certification in hospitality, cosmetology, barbering, brand management, public relations, automotive repair, fashion management, digital media, journalism, facilities management and child care. Small business leaders get the workforce they need without outsourcing. Our "future adults" gain certifications that can expand their professional options.
If you cannot make it to the event, that's okay. Just purchase a ticket or visit thefuturedc.org/donate to make your tax-deductible donation.
An $8 dollar donation ensures 10 youth can have the writing utensils they need for work/school.
An $18 dollar donation ensures we can print over 25 resumes on quality paper. We do this for our youth and members of our Single Parent Support Circle.
An $180 donation ensures that one youth gets a pair of khakis, belt, socks, uniform shirt and work-appropriate shoes to wear to work/school and transportation for their first week at work/school.
Any amount counts toward changing the way these Ward 8 families see the future.
You could help them create a future worth learning about, working in, cleaning up, voting in and fighting for.
