Please join the School of Media Studies as we continue to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Media Studies at The New School with a lively presentation of exciting short films and videos made by Media Studies and Doc Studies alumni, entitled Movies Matter: Media Studies 40th Anniversary Alumni Screening Shorts.
The evening will showcase award-winning shorts made by graduates from around the world. A select few of the filmmakers will be present to speak about their work and the role of the School of Media Studies in helping to forge their careers. Elida Schogt (class of 1999), will come from Toronto to discuss her trilogy of films on the Holocaust; Tal Shamir (class of 2010), will speak about his Student Academy Award-winning experimental film on art; Alexis Neophytides (class of 2009) and Trinidad Rodriguez (class of 2008) will be present to discuss their collaboration on Neighborhood Slice.
