News Impact Summit Stockholm

The News Impact Summit is a new type of media innovation event, focusing on how recently developed approaches and tools can significantly change the way we work in the newsroom, the way we tell stories, and the way we engage with audiences and society as a whole.

On Tuesday 24 November 2015, the eighth edition of the News Impact Summit (NIS Stockholm) will be held at 7a Odenplan in Stockholm, Sweden. The theme“Hard Journalism: Reporting Crisis, Staying Secure & Tackling Data” will see a focus on the way data and information can be used to tell better stories, provide audiences with the content they want and showcase innovation in the way we tell the most important stories.

Organised by the European Journalism Centre (EJC) and Google News Lab, this one full-day public event brings leading journalists and media experts from diverse backgrounds together. Speakers and delegates will be attending from Swedish journalism and media organisations as well as global ones. Participants will have an opportunity to join the debate with the experts through panel discussions as well as attend practical workshops where they will both learn how to use new tools in their daily work and develop broader strategies for innovation in their respective newsrooms.
