Reel Sisters Tea & Cinema series presents #sayhername: a conversation on race and gender. Black women and women of color are often asked to sacrifice their interests for the good of the community and family. Join Reel Sisters for an evening of films that push issues facing women to the forefront of the national agenda and global movement to put girls and women first. The selection of films will include Stammer, On Rape, Sista in the Brotherhood, Asa: A Beautiful Girl and A Conversation with Black Women on Race. Host: Clairesa Clay. Filmmakers Michèle Stephenson, Bettina Goolsby, G Curtis Wilson and Dawn Jones Redstone. Special guest Abby Dobson, a 2016 Artist-In-Residence with the African American Policy Forum, will join our filmmakers.
