When we sat down to pick the theme, we had no idea where the conversation would take us. Until we noticed the golden thread.

In all our talks, we kept hearing "empower" thrown here and there. As if power could be given by someone else. As if power was external. Or worse, something we needed to demand rather than command.

Sitting at our founder's living room, we looked at each other and decided it was our turn.

It was our time to Take Charge.

We'd love for you to join us and shape the conversation on Latinas Taking Charge. The conference will be in Newark, California on Saturday, October 13th from 10 am to 4 pm.

We are thrilled to activate our platform and power the conversation among Latinas who drive change. Each one of our panelists, speakers, and leaders has a story to share and the bravery to tell you about that time they decided to take charge.

"Twenty years ago at a bar in Miami, I had an idea to make a film about American born Latinos that felt “ni de aqui, ni de alla.” I wanted to make a film that would address the cultural nuances between two worlds and in the process make them feel less alone, more empowered and in the process give them a place to belong."
