Women are largely marginalized and excluded from equal contribution to the advancement of technology and our future. There is much attention to this subject, but little progress for diversity in tech. Studies have shown that there are great benefits to diversity and inclusion in such industries.
This issue has affected generations of women and minorities in the fields of tech and computer science, creating challenges to climbing the ladder in their prospective workplaces. When programs and companies focus on helping women and minorities succeed in these fields, great progress is made. But we still have a ways to go.
Our panel will explore how representation of women and minorities will change the future of CS. Speakers will delve into what it takes to succeed in the field and share tips that worked for them in overcoming all-too-common obstacles.
