Women are some of the most gifted individuals in technology, yet account for only 1 in 15 people in STEM fields. That number is even lower for women of color. Given those statistics, Digital Diversity Network (DDN) is creating a platform for influential women of color to impart their wisdom and share stories about defying the odds and reinventing themselves and the tech industry.
Their inaugural Women of Color in Tech Luncheon will celebrate the contributions of women from diverse backgrounds, passions and pursuits in the digital media and tech sectors. This carefully curated assembly of approximately 100 tech leaders, founders, influencers, inventors, scientists, and more, are developing the patents, products, tools and ideas that will power tomorrow.
Through this collective experience, their goal is to educate, empower and inspire positive action to advance the future for women of color in digital media and technology.
