Black women have been on the front lines of today's fight for Black liberation, making this modern-day movement more egalitarian and inclusive than those preceding it. In this installment of the TMCT lecture series, community members of various ages and backgrounds will hear from local Black women making a difference in their communities through the arts, education, on-the-ground activism and more. This discussion is guaranteed to lay to rest any doubt that Black women have a place in the Black freedom struggle. This event will also lead the charge for unity and mutual support between Black women and other segments of the Black population, particularly Black men.
