Self-care is meant to bring peace and relaxation, but ironically, trying to find time for it often adds more stress. Apps are a good solution for time-strapped millennial women, offering convenience, simplicity, and plenty of options.

The following apps, tailored to women’s unique needs, offer emotional, physical, and holistic support, making it almost effortless to prioritize your well-being:

EvolveYou

Exercise is an effective stress reliever but we don’t all have the time to get to the gym regularly. EvolveYou, co-founded by personal trainer Krissy Cela, offers personalized plans and flexible scheduling, including 15-minute workouts and on-demand classes. There are 20 fitness plans to choose from so your workouts can match your fitness goals.

Since nutrition is important to self-care and fitness, EvolveYou has over two thousand recipes, nutrition tracking, and meal planning support. The app’s coaching hub provides tips, advice, videos, and articles to guide you, and a membership includes access to a supportive community of like-minded women.

MeetRosy

According to a recent Gallup poll, 72% of women say they struggle to prioritize their health because it feels overwhelming. It’s understandable especially since a woman’s body goes through several transformations. MeetRosy, an all-inclusive women’s health app founded by Dr. Lindsay Harper, provides the support and resources women need to feel confident and empowered about their physical and emotional well-being.

You’ll find short free videos called “quickies” with answers to questions about common women’s concerns. The app’s community discussion forum and live group events allow users to connect with other women going through similar experiences so you never feel alone. The app also has a curated library of short erotic stories to enhance sexual wellness and increase desire.

The Gallup poll also revealed that 60% of women in the U.S. say their mental and emotional health prevents them from prioritizing their well-being. It’s a slippery slope that can lead to increased stress, anxiety, and other health issues.

Sometimes the best way to take care of your mental and emotional health is to seek professional help. LunaJoy, co-founded by sisters-in-law Dr. Sipra Laddha and Dr. Shama Rathi, specializes in holistic women’s mental health therapy, counseling, and medication management. They offer virtual therapy and 24/7 support for infertility, perinatal, postpartum, and menopausal issues in addition to depression, anxiety, relationship problems, and life transitions.

NavigateMaternity

It’s never been more important to care for yourself during pregnancy. U.S. maternal mortality rates currently stand at 22.3 per 100,000 births overall and 49.5 per 100,000 births for Black women.NavigateMaternity, co-founded by Ariana McGee, Theadora James, and Dr. Elicia Harris, seeks to address these disparities in maternal mortality by providing personalized, culturally competent care.

Through this remote monitoring platform, women receive comprehensive prenatal and postpartum care and health monitoring. FDA-approved health monitoring devices and mental health screenings proactively address risks during pregnancy. The app also assesses Social Determinants of Health (SDoH), with referrals provided to address any needs.
