Danika Berry’s Inspiring Resilience And The Relaunch Of Glam Body

For any woman experiencing personal or professional challenges that require making significant changes, Danika Berry is proof that pivoting effectively is always possible.
After a successful decades-long career as a publicist and TV producer, Danika founded Glam Body in 2017. Born out of necessity to help soothe her baby’s eczema, her homemade coffee scrubs and her experience working with beauty brands were the spark that turned an idea into a thriving skincare business.
However, as Glam Body enjoyed success, Danika faced an unexpected health challenge that required her to pause and take a step back. Her debilitating symptoms took a toll physically, mentally, and emotionally, leaving her feeling like a stranger in her body. It led to the difficult decision to shut down Glam Body and focus on healing.
After finally being diagnosed with PMDD, a condition that affects 5-8% of women, Danika made drastic changes to her lifestyle. She cut out alcohol, sugar, and unhealthy foods, established a regular exercise routine, and set firm boundaries to manage stress and regulate her nervous system. These changes helped her feel like herself again and the experience brought with it a mindset shift.
Now, with the relaunch of Glam Body and the empowering campaign “The Year of You,” Danika is back with a powerful and inspiring message.
“It’s never too late to start over,” she said. “My journey is proof that you can pivot, you can start over, and rebuild. You’ll have challenges that may slow you down but there is nothing that should stop you.”
The Year Of You: A Movement, Not Just A Relaunch
Danika’s self-care journey taught her a lesson that has become her guiding principle: prioritizing yourself isn’t selfish, it’s necessary.
“When you take care of yourself first, you show up better for everyone else,” she said. “You can’t pour from an empty cup.”
She credits her tribe, especially her mother and her good friend Cynthia Bailey, for helping her get through her darkest times. Her support system refused to let her suffer alone. They stood by her, offering strength during her most vulnerable moments and encouragement to relaunch Glam Body.
This love, support, and care is at the heart of Glam Body’s “The Year of You” campaign.
“This is an unapologetic celebration of self-care,” she said. “It’s about prioritizing yourself and your goals. Women struggle with this but we don’t need to.”
To add to the celebratory feel of the campaign, Danika chose pink as its signature color. It symbolizes joy, renewal, a commitment to self-care, and looking ahead to brighter times. At the center of the relaunch is That Pink Scrub – Hydrating Watermelon Foaming Body Polish, a vibrant product that embodies the spirit of “The Year of You”—reclaiming joy, celebrating community, and embracing life. Its rich foaming lather, nourishing shea butter and vitamin E, and refreshing scent were a source of comfort and mood-boosting happiness during her recovery.
Empowering Women Through Glam Body
Danika plans for Glam Body to become a platform for empowerment. Her focus is to reach women globally with products that heal, uplift, and build confidence and “skin esteem.”
In a culture of unrealistic beauty standards and social media pressure, Danika wants women to embrace their natural beauty and stop comparing themselves to filtered images. It leads to feeling less than and chasing the idea of flawless perfection.
“I want to be a platform that sparks conversations about self-care, mental health, and wellness through different partnerships, campaigns, and community building,” she said.
As the mother of a teenage daughter, Danika is also very aware of the pressures young girls face. She does not want them to feel they are only beautiful if they conform to social media standards. She hopes Glam Body’s message of self-acceptance and celebration encourages young girls and women to embrace their natural beauty confidently.

Reinvention At Any Age
Stepping into this new chapter, Danika is the happiest she has ever been and excited about what the future holds. As part of her reinvention, she wants to lift other women up as well.
Her biggest piece of advice: seek help when you need it and give yourself grace. Asking for help is not a weakness; it takes strength to be vulnerable and allow others to support you. But having a tribe that provides unconditional love makes all the difference during life’s challenges.
Danika said she also believes fear of failure too often holds women back from going after what they want but regret is the bigger risk.
“You have to have faith, determination, and a clear purpose,” she said. “You can overcome anything, just take the leap and trust yourself. Losses are lessons. Learn from them, rebuild, and come back stronger. But never let them have control over you.”
As part of this reinvention, Glam Body is not just about skincare; it is about confidence, self-care, and believing that starting over is always an option. Through “The Year of You,” Danika hopes to inspire women to celebrate themselves and embrace their journeys without fear. By sharing her story, she wants women to see that reinvention is powerful, achievable, and transformative.
