On September 28th, DoSomething.org’s Chloe Lee joined subscribers of #theAgenda to share how she changed the course of her career from marketing to tech.

For an hour, Chloe shared with the community tons of gems on the importance of navigating your career unapologetically and strategically.

Here’s one piece of advice that resonated with many in #theAgenda:

“Be confident in who you are, know what you want and be content with that.”

On advice for millennial women who want to make the career jump into another field:

“Talk to as many people in the field as possible! Get a sense of what their day-to-day is like to make sure it’s something you really want to do.  Find out how they got where they were. The more people you talk to, the better sense you’ll get AND the more opportunities will arise.”

On what she does to unplug and recharge

“Sometimes putting in more hours of work won’t necessarily be helpful. When I’m stuck on something, I take the night off and try not to look at it and come back with a clear head and a different approach to the problem.”
