How To Focus On Pursuing Your Own Version Of Happiness
On May 25th, positive psychology practitioner Chianti Lomax joined subscribers of #theAgenda to share her insight on what it means to pursue your own version of happiness and joy.
For over an hour, Chianti shared with the community tons of gems that left everyone inspired, encouraged and motivated to make happiness a priority.
Here’s one piece of advice that resonated with many in #theAgenda:
“You don’t have to wait for everything in your life to be perfect in order to experience pure joy.”

On what she has learned from launching “The Happy Pop-Up”:
Two things: the first, you need a team of people around you that believe in your vision. And second, never be afraid to ask for what you want. I had my third event a few weeks ago, and landed a major print media event partner. I sent a cold email to the marketing team, and they responded immediately. After a phone conversation with her, she mentioned that her magazine loves creating new partnerships, but people never ask or they don’t follow-up. She then proceeded to say, “If you don’t ask the question. The answer will always be no.”
On ways we can best practice self-care:
Create a “Bounce Back to Happy” toolkit. The purpose of this toolkit is to provide you with a list of activities to help pull you out of a funk. Intention is everything. You have to equip yourself with joy enhancers at all times!
