While working to make her mark, the 43-year-old has had two viral moments this year. The latest was her speech for the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, where she criticized former President Donald Trump while highlighting the service of Vice President Kamala Harris.
“She’s lived the American dream, while he’s been America’s nightmare,” the Dallas Democrat said. “America, looking at the two choices before you, who would you hire, Donald Trump or Kamala Harris?”
“Will a vindictive vile villain violate voters’ vision?” she asked. “I hear alliteration is back in style.”
Crockett’s other viral moment this year called on her poignant alliteration when she responded to an insult dished out by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. The Georgia Republican attacked her over “fake eyelashes” during a hearing in May 2024. Jasmine Crockett’s Education And Background
Born March 29, 1981, in St. Louis, her father was a teacher and a preacher and her mother has worked for the United States Postal Service for more than 40 years. Her parents raised her with a dedication to serving the community.
According to her official government site, she has “purposefully made every decision with one goal in mind: protecting the civil liberties of those in underrepresented communities,” dedicating her life “to public service, with the goal of serving justice and ensuring equality for all.”
She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Rhodes College in 2003. In 2006, she graduated from the University of Houston Law Center with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. She’s not married and has no children.
She’s a committed member of a sorority.
She is a proud lifetime member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Boasting over 300,000 members and over 900 collegiate and alumnae chapters, Delta was founded in 1913 at Howard University. The predominantly Black sorority stands for sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action.
