Meagan Good Talks ‘Shazam! Fury Of The Gods’ And The Power Of Playing A Superhero
Actress Meagan Good is reprising her role as Darla in “Shazam! Fury of the Gods,” the 12th installment in the DC Universe. The film hits theaters on March 17, and it is the follow-up to “Shazam!” which was released in 2019.
“Shazam! Fury of the Gods” continues the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word, “Shazam!,” is transformed into his adult superhero alter ego. Billy’s foster siblings, including Good’s character, Darla, have also gained incredible superhuman abilities upon yelling the name “Shazam.” For Darla, that meant superhuman strength, speed, reflexes and the power of flight. In the sequel, when the daughters of Atlas surface and threaten to destroy the world and take back Shazam’s powers, the siblings must rise up to protect those that they love.
