For women in the world of entrepreneurship, business capital is a crucial element to running and scaling a business. From everyday operations to social media marketing, expenses can quickly add up, making it important for women to generate consistent capital to sustain the brands they have built.

Women own more than 12 million U.S. based businesses, and are increasing in business ownership faster than men. Still, they face barriers when it comes to securing business loans and large investments to grow their business endeavors. Women entrepreneurs can look for business grants that will support their vision.

Grants are a great way to generate capital because unlike business loans , they do not have to be returned. From micro grants of $1,000 or less, to grants that are hundreds of thousands of dollars, women entrepreneurs should consider applying for business grants throughout the year. Becoming a grant recipient can help to reduce business expenses and minimize debt acquisition.
