Neurosurgeon – average salary range: $500,000-$800,000

Due to the extensive training, niche practice, and dealing with the brain and spinal cords (which are delicate tendons), neurosurgeons are highly paid because of their demanding workload and surgical specialties.

Physician – average salary range: $171,285 to $282,496

Psychiatrist – average salary range: $242,206 to $296,048

Nurse anesthetist, nurse midwife, and practitioner – average salary: $129,480
