At 26-years-old, lead publicist of PR Mentality, LLC and founder of PR Girls Do It Better Lindsey Walker celebrated her fifth year in business on Saturday.

For the past five years, Walker has worked as a publicist securing media placements for her beauty, entertainment and lifestyle clients with high profile media outlets such as ABC, Yahoo, Vibe Vixen and more. Walker saw no better way to celebrate her five year milestone than by hosting her 2nd Annual PR Girls Do It Better Branding Brunch on the momentous day in Atlanta, GA.

“PR Girls Do It Better is an empowerment movement for women in business to help them to get their brands right [and] to help them focus on marketing and public relations,” Walker said. “Today I’m actually celebrating my fifth year being in business and as a part of that, I just wanted to be able to empower and impart wisdom into other entrepreneurs.”

Women from all over attended the faith-based brunch and business workshop designed with the female entrepreneur in mind. Upon arrival, enjoyed selfie stations, mini massages from Atlanta’s Blissful Massage and a mini pop up shop by Cartiay Reshay, an online women’s boutique.  Attendees indulged in a Southern style brunch with chicken and waffles, smothered potatoes, cheese eggs and bacon.

Attendees ranged in age and profession yet shared the common desire to learn tricks of the trade from Walker and her esteemed, girl boss panelists.

Panelists included digital marketing guru Emmelie De La Cruz, PR director of iGNPR Ronnika Ann, brand strategist Chanel Martin, visual strategist Brittany Butler and Lindsey Walker.

“I chose women that I knew had an impact. Women who have built profitable businesses, know the ends and outs of branding and have a faith-based aspect,” Walker said.

Panelists walked attendees through setting SMART goals, building profitable businesses and intentionality. The panelists each gave immeasurable insight on their journey to entrepreneurship, maintaining faith in God and their discipline and dedication to their craft. Attendees learned how to create their brand story, make themselves marketable and get organized within their businesses to position themselves for success.

“I learned how to brand, stay consistent, have faith, and set goals that I know I’m going to accomplish. It is so important to actually do the work because if you don’t do the work you won’t accomplish your goals,” attendee Tikilia Wilcox of She Picture Perfect boutique said.

The panel was followed by a series of fireside chats where each panelists dived into their specific subject area with select attendees whether digital marketing, creating your brand story or public relations.
