Getting to mainland Greece is fairly easy, and this can be done by plane, depending on where you are coming from. Getting to the islands is slightly more complicated as some bigger islands will have their little airports while other islands can only be accessed via ferry.

Ferry is one of the main ways to be transported from island to island and is definitely your best choice if you are going island hopping. You can explore many available ferry options at Let’s Ferry, with Ithaki-Lefkada being one of the most popular choices. The great thing about ferries is that you can drive your car straight onto the boat on one island and then straight off the boat onto another island.
