Sweaty Betty And Halle Berry Team Up For Martial Arts Inspired Fitness Gear
If you’re into fitness at all in the United States, chances are pretty high you’re at least a little familiar with Sweaty Betty and their fitness gear collections. From their comfortable and supportive sports bras to their perfectly crafted yoga pants, the gear is tip-top and worth the investment for runners, yogis, and loungers alike.
With their new line, rē∙spin edit, comes a collaboration with one of the fittest celebs in the business, Halle Berry.
The Inspiration
Berry co-designed the collection with Sweaty Betty to be a high-performance line of gear based around the functional gear worn by jiu-jitsu wrestlers and boxers for high-powered performance for anyone donning the clothes.
According to Sweaty Betty’s Twitter, “This collection is designed to help all women to live the life they’ve earned, on their terms.”
Berry adds, “I’ve worn the Power Legging for years, so it was an amazing experience to design my own version, named after one of my most iconic roles: Storm. I worked closely with Sweaty Betty’s design team, entirely over Zoom, to make my vision of this collection come to life. I wanted to create a collection for my busy lifestyle. I can throw on these pieces, wear them all day, and still look put together.”
The Collection
The rē∙spin edit collection features 22 new pieces of clothing, including:
- Cycling shorts
- Training rash guards
- Parkas
- Workout vests
- T-shirts
- Dresses
- Hoodies
- Training shorts
- Leggings
- Sports bras
- Jumpsuits
- Joggers
Each piece is crafted from high-performance fabrics, featuring shades of cream, grays, and black, with an emphasis on “ultra-lightweight, sweat-wicking fabric” for the ultimate in comfort all day long. Uniquely, the collection includes rash guard pieces for those training intensely and a comfortable little black dress to toss on when you’re headed someplace where a little more “class” is required than sports bras and gym shorts.
The first part of the collection is available now on the Sweaty Betty site, with a second drop coming later in the year.
