Lily may be the first Indigenous actress to take an Academy Award home. She has emerged victorious, having already won the Golden Globe Award for a drama and the Screen Actors Guild Award.

The multi-talented actress and singer has already won a Grammy and was Tony-nominated for “The Color Purple” revival. Danielle earned her first Emmy nomination for playing Mahalia Jackson in “Robin Roberts Presents Mahalia.” Now, she’s up for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
