Try This Summer Playlist Filled With Themes Of Fun, Excitement, And Joy

Summer is here, and most of us are back outside. Whether you are having a “hot girl summer” or need that workout mix, never underestimate the power of a good playlist to set the tone and get you energized. This is also the summer for women artists, with many of the ladies leading TikTok challenges, song collaborations, and award wins. We couldn’t be more excited to have songs to get us energized and motivated this summer. 

This is my summer playlist that I listen to when I need a boost of fun and excitement. Check out this mix filled with old and new songs by some of my favorite woman entertainers.

“Put it on the Floor Again” by Latto feat Cardi B

 “Put it on the Floor Again” by hip-hop artist Latto is the remix to “Put it on the Floor” with the addition of Cardi B. It has been trending as one of the the biggest TikTok challenges for months because of the of catchy lyrics. It has had everyone embracing renewal and confidence in appearance, hairstyles, transformations, and lifestyle.

“Heated” by Beyonce

“Fan me off, I’m hot, hot, hot!” You can’t have a summer music playlist without Queen Bey. Many of us are peeping for the “Renaissance” tour, and what better way to do so than to enjoy the vibes of that album. There are so many songs to set the tone for this summer, but “Heated” will definitely have you ready for your “hot girl summer” vibes.

“Why Don’t We Fall in Love” by Amerie

I cannot have a summer playlist without Amerie’s classic hit, “Why Don’t We Fall in Love.” I just knew my summers would be like the vibe of this song—full of love and joy. Decades since its debut, it still gives all the summer vibes of excitement, along with the video that made us want to fall in love.

 “Dance the Night” by Dua Lipa

I am more than excited about the “Barbie” movie and loving the fun songs on the soundtrack so far. It was reported that Dua Lipa would not only be in the movie but has a lead single on the album called “Dance the Night.” It is a fun dance track that gives disco vibes to get you moving .

“Work” by Rihanna

What is a good summer playlist without a classic dancehall song. “Work” by Rihanna is going to always get me energized and make me want to get up top wine to the music. The song gives house party, beach and summer crush vibes. Who knows if we will ever get another album from Rihanna, but we can still enjoy some of her classics.

“You Wish” by Flyana Boss

We love to see the new generation of ladies in hip-hop blowing up. Flyana Boss has been all over TikTok and video platforms lately, and their catchy song, “You Wish,” has you wanting to run around outside and have fun with your girls. The original viral TikTok video featured the duo running around in Los Angeles, and the two have since shot 11 more running videos in places including Disneyland, In-N-Out Burger and the Santa Monica Pier.

“On My Momma” by Victoria Monet

R&B artist Victoria Monet’s single “On My Momma” is the hot girl summer anthem. This song, which samples the OG Southern hip-hop classic, “I Look Good” by Charlie Boy, has the affirmations we need to not only help us feel good but will have you feeling yourself.
